A trip to Popular Book Store recently revealed how popularity had gone to their heads. Prices in Popular are now only expressed in either Pounds, Euros or Dollars. Had gone there to pick up a copy of Animal Farm and the only one available was a 7mm thick one priced at 7.5 £. Taking into consideration the fact that the exchange rates they use are currently 85 Rs. for pounds and 46 Rs. for dollars, against the prevailing rates of 80 and 43 respectively, you get a slight idea what I'm talking about...

So at 637 Rs, Animal Farm is essentially costlier than The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy. Also, it would actually be cheaper to have it shipped here from eBay... Thank god for the roadside vendors who gave me a copy for 50 bucks !
